Madamas Bay

Nestled in a small bay surrounded by low hills on Trinidad's northeast coast sits Madamas Bay. It is quite popular with overnight campers, and sometimes features nesting Leatherback turtles. The sea is rough here, so bathing is not advised. A small, brackish stream empties into the sea near the northern end of the beach. Sunrises can be spectacular on this beach. Unfortunately our best 8X10 LF shots were all destroyed by DHL en route to the U.S. for processing.
